Housing Specialist - Waterville!

Kennebec Behavioral Health is currently seeking a full-time Housing Specialist to work in our Waterville location! Our Housing Specialist will work in our Rental Services office and assists with the administration of our BRAP and Shelter Plus Care housing subsidy programs for clients with mental illness. This program assists clients by screening them for eligibility, coordinating the application process, executing contracts with landlords, and administering the subsidy once clients qualify.

 

Adult Case Manager - Somerset County Jail

As a member of our team you will work with adults with mental illness in the development & implementation of a service plan that provides clients with access to and utilization of appropriate community resources.

 

Children's Case Manager - Augusta & Skowhegan!

KBH has a full-time position open for Children's Case Manager's in our Augusta, and Skowhegan locations! The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver services to children with emotional/behavioral disorders, mental illness, Intellectual Disability, pervasive developmental disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. Homeless Outreach Peer Support - Part-Time!

Kennebec Behavioral Health is currently seeking a part-time Homeless Outreach Peer Support candidate to join our Homeless Outreach program in the Kennebec, and Somerset areas!

This position provides peer support services and consumer information for participants in the Outreach Program(s) as needed.  The Peer Support functions as an integral part of the Outreach team and performs a wide range of tasks to assist participants in improving self-efficacy, identifying strengths and needs relative to achieving goals, and promotes empowerment and participation in the service planning process. The Peer Support provides support and outreach to homeless persons in a variety of settings. Outreach efforts are to identify and engage homeless and, at times, those at risk of homelessness as needed.  These may be persons who are not interested or comfortable with traditional services or systems.  Outreach includes, but is not limited to, engagement, monitoring, supporting, securing, and linking services, mainstream resources and housing on behalf of the individual, linkage of individual into the community services system or other program staff as needed to meet those needs, and advocating for homeless services with other providers including shelters, schools, mental health, medical and social service providers.

 

OHH Nurse Care Manager - Skowhegan!

KBH is currently seeking a full time Nurse Care Manager to work in our Skowhegan office! The Nurse Care Manager provides nursing services and care management to clients enrolled in our Opioid Health Home service.

Requirements:  The Nurse Care Manager must be one of the three below:

  • A registered nurse who completes the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) required 8-hour training for an X-DEA license for prescribing Buprenorphine) within 6 months of initiating service delivery for OHH members. Registered nurses may not continue functioning as a Nurse Care Manager beyond 6 months if the appropriate training has not been completed; or
  • A psychiatric nurse licensed as a registered professional nurse and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a psychiatric and mental health nurse (PMHN); or
  • An advanced practice nurse, as defined by the Maine State Board of Nursing.

The Assistant Director will directly support the Clinical Director of Supported Housing. This individual will provide administrative support to programs, including some data collection and analysis. The ideal candidate will have both strong clinical framework as well as be exceptionally organized. The Assistant Director will be completing assessment tools including ANSA, CSRs for program authorizations, and supporting treatment plan implementation. This person will work in all 5 of our current PNMIs at the direction of the Clinical Director.

Access Center Clinician - Waterville/Skowhegan!

Kennebec Behavioral Health is currently seeking a Clinician to join our Access Center at KBH’s Waterville, and Skowhegan locations! We offer competitive wages and benefits and the chance to work for a multi-site mental health provider who's been serving our communities for more than 50 years. This is a professional clinical position that enhances access and continuity of care through the provision of mental health services to clients by focusing on conducting clinical holistic intakes for programs with capacity that align with patient needs. The Access Center Clinician will provide screening to clients with co-occurring substance abuse conditions within the clinician’s scope of practice, and will facilitate the initial treatment phase, intended to enhance positive treatment outcomes.

The Peer Support Specialist will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide peer support and consumer information to participants in the Behavioral Health Home program as a way to regain control over their own recovery process.

Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is a time-limited, intensive family therapy and community-based treatment program that focuses upon addressing all environmental systems that impact adolescents who are struggling with behavior in the home, in school, or in the community. Internship Opportunities - Access Center

Kennebec Behavioral Health is currently offering undergraduate internships in all of our four Access Center office locations. The Access Center provides initial point of contact for clients, assesses client needs, link clients to appropriate services, collects demographic data, serves as liaison with community providers, and provides crisis intervention as required.

​Access Center staff and interns have worked diligently to create a clinical experiential learning environment with comprehensive learning plans, training in electronic medical records, valuable client contact time, and various research projects. Interns will have use of a workstation with a computer and a phone, interface with referral sources such as medical professionals, social service providers, and educational professionals, and interact with patients seeking services.
