Wednesday Wellness: Kindness

Every Wednesday, KBH will share some quick tips on health and wellness. You can read these tips on our website, twitter or stay tuned for the tips on 92 Moose and B98.5 every Wednesday!

 

Did you know that acts of kindness can actually be beneficial for your health? Kind acts can raise hormones that increase feelings of happiness, benefit your heart health and can also help improve relationships. Here are a few acts of kindness you can do:

 

Volunteer for a nonprofit or walk for a cause. Volunteering and participating in causes is shown to improve one’s mood and can help you meet people if feeling lonely.

 

Help a neighbor, friend or family with chores. Help someone mow their lawn or give your parent a break with chores.

 

Leave a few coins at a local laundromat to help someone in need.

 

Finally, send encouraging messages. Social media can be a negative place, so send a positive post or comment.
