Support for Families with Young Children Grows

The Griffin-Guerrette Charitable Giving Fund has awarded Educare Central Maine a grant to support its partnership with the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter and Kennebec Behavioral Health (KBH).

The Griffin-Guerrette Charitable Giving Fund was established in 2012 to recognize Judith A. Griffin and Paul Guerette for their nearly 70 years of dedicated service to Trademark Federal Credit Union and to the greater Augusta area. The Fund awards $1,000 annually to a non-profit organization in the Augusta area.

High Hopes Clubhouse Receives International Accreditation

 Kennebec Behavioral Health’s High Hopes Clubhouse has been awarded the highest level of accreditation from Clubhouse International (www.ICCD.org).  The accreditation for the Waterville area’s vocational clubhouse, which first opened in 1997, was awarded in July and prompted a visit on October 7, 2014 by Mark Lanier, chairman of the Board of Clubhouse International which is based in New York.  The Clubhouse International accreditation is awarded to Clubhouses that demonstrate appropriate and effective implementation of the evidence-based Clubhouse model, p

October 9th: National Depression Screening Day

WHAT: National Depression Screening Day (NDSD), held annually on the Thursday of the first full week in October, is dedicated to raising awareness and screening people for depression and related mood and anxiety disorders. NDSD is the nation’s oldest voluntary, community-based screening program that gives access to validated screening questionnaires and provides referral information for treatment.
